I guess I should ramble a bit about myself!

My name is Valerie and I live in British Columbia, Canada. I'm 24 years old (25 in June) and I live on my own with my cat, Cleo.

I was first introduced to the world of high-end cosmetics when I visited a Holt Renfrew store in 2007 with a coworker when I was interning at CUCBC. My coworker said (as the Laura Mercier SA was giving me a quick makeover) that if I ever got hired at CUCBC, I could afford to shop at places like this! And two months later, after I'd finished my practicum and was offered a position full-time, I did just that! My first purchase: a LM lip glace in Violet. (Which just recently went rancid, 3 years later. RIP.)

Since then I've gone through my phases - Stila, MAC, Urban Decay, Dior, and now my collection has a bit of everything in it. I love it.

Recently (as of January 2010) I started reading about Asian cosmetics and how unique and affordable they are. I have made several orders and found several HGs (holy grail) items, which is awesome. I love sharing my finds with the girls on MUA, and eventually decided to start my own blog focusing mainly on Asian cosmetics/skincare, but also my other favorites as well.
